Property Week Winner 2020 Developer of the Year

Alumno x Photo North student photography competition winners announced

It was another fantastic photography festival in Leeds over the weekend. Alumno were once again the proud main sponsor of the event, which included informative and engaging talks and workshops by Channel 4 and other contributors. The main exhibition in the Carriageworks Theatre was a truly diverse range of photography in terms of subject matter, style and stages of career of the participants. The Lord Mayor of Leeds Councillor Abigail Marshall Katung kindly attended and participated in the prize giving for the runners up and the winner of the Alumno student photography competition. The winner of the competition was Richie Elder and the runners up were Debs Parr and Rob Kirman. The number and quality of the entrants to the student competition gets higher every year. Some of the shortlisted photographers will have their work on permanent display at the new Alumno building at Hollis Wharf in Bath, opening for the autumn term later this year. As always thanks need to go to Sharon Price and Peter Dench of Photo North for curating such a welcoming and vibrant event. The support of Carl Palmer, Jamie Honeywood and the rest of the Channel 4 team is invaluable for the mentoring and support they give students just starting out in their career. A truly inspiring event.
