Alumno were delighted to join Morgan Sindall for a traditional “Topping Out Ceremony” at their student accommodation development at All Saints Green in Norwich. The practice of “topping out” a new building can be traced to the ancient Scandinavian religious rite of placing a tree atop a new building to appease the tree-dwelling spirits displaced in its construction. Morgan Sindall had thoughtfully attached a Yew tree branch to the scaffolding whilst representatives from Norwich University of the Arts and various other stakeholders raised a glass to the new building. The visitors were also treated to a tour of some of the recently completed show rooms on the ground floor of the building.
