Pershore Junction – Birmingham

The Pershore Junction site at the junction of Dogpool Lane and Pershore Road in Selly Park is well located to meet the needs of students at a number of the universities in Birmingham and in particular those studying at the University of Birmingham (UoB). The journey to the UoB (southern gate) is around mile away and takes under 15 minutes on foot and around 8 minutes by bicycle. The journey to the centre of the UoB campus takes 22 minutes on foot and 10 minutes by bicycle.

The gap in the number of bedspaces between those in need of accommodation (excluding those living at home) and the current total provision is 25,000.

Dogpool Lane would be ideal for student not just attending University of Birmingham. The new state of the art accommodation could cater for students at Aston University, University College Birmingham and Birmingham City university. Quickest routes to those in central Birmingham is either by bus or by bicycle.

The site is within easy access of the City Centre and its core amenities. Bournville and Selly Oak Railway Stations are both around a mile away and Birmingham New Street station is under half an hour away by bus or bicycle.

There are a number of local shops and services in the area immediately surrounding the Dogpool Lane site. These include the Ten Acre Street Post Office, a convenience store, take-away and a café. A little further to the south along the Pershore Road is a local centre at the junction of Ribblesdale Road with an off-licence and convenience store, a hair and beauty salon and an Indian Restaurant and take-away. Ten minutes’ walk away is the village of Stirchley which offers a full range of services which include a Co-operative supermarket, a snooker hall, a number of pubs, a bicycle repair shop and a swimming pool.

Our main contractor GMI are on site currently with completion due for 2024
