Property Week Winner 2020 Developer of the Year

Monthly Review: New Year New Projects

This year we will be continuing with our monthly reviews. As we are all still dealing with lockdown and isolation, we will still be focusing on positivity and celebrating the achievements and the hard work from the people involved. Each month we will be bringing you a monthly review of all the positive news and achievements that have occurred with in the month. From new photos/footage to award nominations, we will be celebrating and highlighting every achievement that will happen in 2021.

Beton House at Park Hill, Sheffield

The end of last year saw us win Developer of the year with our new scheme Beton House, located in the Park Hill flats in Sheffield. Coverage of our win was featured in the January edition of Student Property Week. Lewes Road, Brighton CGI

The start of 2021 also saw us gain planning permission for our new scheme in Brighton on Lewes Road. The development will primarily house the city’s Screen and Film School students, and Alumno will work closely with the college to create a movie theme for the building that will appeal to its attendees. The residence will also be available to students of other local education establishments.

Up to 60 students will be accommodated in the new development’s studio flats, which will be built over three and four storeys, and feature several internal and external communal areas for relaxation and study. These will include a lower ground recreational area and study space, and a ‘green’ rooftop winter garden, offering views over Brighton while encouraging biodiversity and improving air quality. A gym, cinema room, laundry room and cycle parking are also planned, with a café and retail space occupying the ground floor and basement of the building.

Several sustainability measures will be incorporated into the new student residence. These will include renewable energy via discrete on-site solar panels, low-energy lighting and high-efficiency heating. Construction is scheduled to start in spring 2021, with completion planned for Late Summer 2022.

It may be a slightly slower start to the year but we all must remain positive. Look out for February’s review next month.
