Students in their final year of the on the FdA Interior Design course were asked to present their ideas on the Stratford scheme to their tutors Tomris Tangaz and Shaun Fernandes. Also watching the presentations were Russell Clayton of MJP architects, who have designed the scheme and Elizabeth Church and Rebecca Dean of Alumno.
Earlier in the term Russell had presented the scheme to the students, they were then asked to put their own spin on the design. They considered the reception area, student rooms and the roof terrace. A prize of a trip up one of Londons new iconic buildings, The Shard was to be presented to the winning team. Both architects and developers were thrilled to see what the students had come up with. A winning team was chosen with great difficulty as all of the presentations had their merits. Below are some photos of the day.
