Alumno in partnership with Homes for Students and supported by Photo North Festival are proud to announce that the winners of our unique photography competition for students and avid photographers from across the city will be displayed at the Moor Market in the centre of Sheffield.
We are currently developing a new accommodation for 356 students in the iconic Park Hill estate called Béton House. We are asking entrants to reveal what community means today, what brings and binds communities together or conversely what divides communities within the Steel City for a chance to win prizes, including a £250 Polaroid e-gift card.
Working with the UK’s premier photography festival, with a reputation for creating outstanding events and competitions, Photo North will coordinate the competition are also offering winners the opportunity to be exhibited alongside leading and eminent photographer Peter Dench and Homer Sykes who are professional magazine and documentary photographers.
The photography competition is free and is open to any student in the city studying photography or any arts related subject and avid photographers wishing to enhance their skills. The competition is open for entries with the deadline being 16th March 2020.
Winner and runners up from the competition will be unveiled on Wednesday 1st April at the Photo North Pop Up at The Park Hill Shop, Pinstone Street, Sheffield.
Prizes will include:
1st place framed certificate, bottle of champagne, Park Hill mug and £250 Polaroid e-gift card
2nd place framed certificate, bottle of champagne, Park Hill mug and £30 Love2Shop voucher
3rd place framed certificate, bottle of champagne, Park Hill mug and £20 Love2Shop voucher
