On 14th October 2014, Alumno Developments received confirmation of full planning permission for our Sheraton Park project. We have now signed all the legal agreements, which include Section 106 monies for community benefit, and are excited to begin the process of appointing a contractor.
A Section 73 Application has now been submitted to Durham Council to amend the wording of condition 2. This is in relation to working on both Neville House refurbishment and Sheraton House demolition in tandem. The condition as it is currently worded would leave Neville House empty on completion and the site programme would extend out to summer 2017. We have suggested wording that will give DCC comfort that the works to both houses will be completed and the historic asset will be protected.
We are now having several surveys carried out to on the site to aid the forthcoming build process. A programme of works for these surveys can be found below [PDF].
